The evenings card from Newcastle is the scene of our best bet of the day where we look to be following a young apprentice jockey who’s very much in-form.
Cameron Noble has grabbed a trio of winning rides in the past fortnight from just eight attempts and climbs aboard Fast Act. The six year old finished a credible third last time out and with a drop in weight since then he looks set to go close once again.
Course and distance winner Oriental Lilly has a great record here at Newcastle by never finishing outside of the top three. The Jim Goldie trained four year old is bound to finish up near the front once again but I’m hoping the five pound rise in weight is enough to stop her claiming back to back victories.
Of the remainder Hamish McGonagain is a very consistent sort who looks overpriced at around 16/1 and certainly has enough to grab a place.
