The final race on this evenings card at Wolverhampton is over the minimum trip.
Almost half of the field have been successful at the midlands track previously including the drastically overpriced Bop It who surely shouldn’t be as big a price as the bookmakers are making him. It wouldn’t be inconceivable for him to find place money but isn’t my idea of the winner.
King Crimson is worthy of note especially as the horse is now thirteen pounds lower in weight than when finding success over course and distance. That being said his trainer has found it difficult to bag a winner and although a likely threat will be hard to judge wether he will put his best foot forward.
The horse worth backing hails from the yard of Derek Shaw. Run With Pride’s best recent efforts were a third and a second placed finishes when racing over five furlongs. Both of those efforts were in a higher grade of race so a drop down to Class 6 should definitely help his chances. The yard are hitting top form with six placed efforts and one win in their last thirteen runners and I’m hoping their upturn in fortune continues by bagging a winner here.
