The final race of today’s meeting from the Surrey track sees former course and distance winner Noble Deed set to lineup. It may seem odd for us to put a horse forward for victory that hasn’t entered the winners enclosure in his last 30 runs. Indeed on the face of it it does seem a veritable “head scratcher” but with 5 places efforts from his last 7 course and distance starts he clearly loves it here. At the age of eight he isn’t the horse he once was but now carrying a huge 23lbs less weight than when he last tasted success he’s got a much easier task on his hands. A little bit of faith has to be put on the fact he can still get his head in front but with such a poor level of opposition it’s not all that far fetched.
