Glittering Love is unbeaten in two since tackling larger obstacles and proved his stamina over three miles when staying on strongly to win over course and distance in soft ground last month. He is also two from two since being partnered with Brian Hughes and hails from a yard who likes their winners at the track so with just a 5lbs rise to contend with he should be capable of another visit to the winners’ enclosure here.
Julia Brooke has saddled three winners from four runners in the last twelve months at the course but muddies the waters by sending two for this race. Ashes Corner makes his chase debut over a new trip so the most likely of the two to get involved looks to be Vasco D’ycy who also has questions to answer on return from almost two years off the track. He did win on return from a similar break earlier in his career, although has done all his winning thus-far over hurdles and over shorter trips so may be best watched.
A final mention goes the way of Road To Gold who is another who has shown best form over the smaller obstacles but does have course form to his name and as a multiple winner in heavy ground could come in to his own if any rain arrives.
