Bobby Joe Leg got the hang of things late on when returning a 33/1 winner of a Newcastle maiden at the first time of asking, coming from off the pace to win going away. That was over a furlong shorter than he encounters here but the manner of victory suggests the extra distance won’t be a problem and he gets the vote to go in again today.

Equiano Springs just held on over course and distance last time out and although a 3lbs rise will make things tougher he should be thereabouts again, while Gun Case has a decent record at the course and has been holding his form well so is another in with a reasonable chance.
