There looks set to be an odds-on favourite of the race in the form on Bentelimar but we’re ready to take it on! A classy enough horse but with just the one victory in his last 25 starts it’s not too difficult to oppose him. He’s clearly been in more competitive races than this four runner affair but his opposition today are far from scraping the barrel. Likely to be in the mix of course but trainer Charlie Longsdon isn’t firing on all cylinders either and a chance is taken on the youngest runner Somewhere To Be. An inconsistent type but on his day has shown glimpses of ability. With only two chase starts to his name he’s got bags of room to progress and with the more senior jockey Aidan Coleman booked to ride his chances are improved. A drop back down in trip should be advantageous and if the addition of blinkers can spark further steps forward he could have enough to topple the market principle.
