This six furlong handicap sees four course and distance winners set to lineup and we’re selecting one of the quartet.
The likelihood is that top weight Pride Of Angels will go off favourite and with a win and a second placed effort in her only all-weather starts she’s clearly at home on an artificial surface. That being said however she continues to increase the weight she has to burden and as such a chance is taken on an outsider.
When a horse who’s won at the venue before also enlists the assistance of top jockey Oisin Murphy you have to stand up and take note. A recent winner two starts back has seen Gold Club go up the handicap marginally but he still resides at a level he’s been victorious at previously. Two pounds should be negated by the skills of Oisin Murphy and I’m hoping Lee Carter’s charge can claim another win here at Lingfield.
