20:45 Kempton
The final race of the day comes from the evening meeting at Kempton where course and distance winner Pike Corner Cross looks to have a tonne of things pointing in his favour.
Now returning to class 6, at a course he’s claimed 50% of his victories at and a massive 18lbs less weight to carry than when he was last victorious he should have a great chance. His chances are boosted further by the addition of Pat Cosgrave being booked for the ride.
Red Gunner put in two improved efforts to finish with back to back 3rd placed runs most recently and aims to improve on that tonight. He seems to have improved on previous runs but his all-weather form looks disappointing. A player if he can start showing more on an artificial surface.
The addition of blinkers are hoped to improve Oskemen’s chances and with two decent all-weather efforts he’s bound to be in the mix but with a lacklustre effort most recently the extra headgear needs to have a big impact to see the grey finish with his head in front.
