12:25 Southwell The second race of the day on the artificial surface at Southwell sees 7 set to try and claim their first ever victory. This maiden sees a handful of newcomers make their racing debuts with the nicely bred Orient Express the likeliest to go well on paper but with any maiden I tend to side with a horse who’s already had the learning experience of a previous run. The proverbial bridesmaid Point Zero has been ultra-consistent without claiming a win and is bound to go close once more but is probably likely play second fiddle once again. The horse that gets the nod travels down from Yorkshire as the Karl Burke trained Wind Storm looks to improve on her second placed effort at Newcastle and staying at the same trip looks another positive.
