Now tipping a horse that hasn’t even finished in the top five in their last nine starts might seem a very odd call however that’s exactly what we’re doing with Zoravan.
A lacklustre run of recent form is something I hope he can put behind him today. A decent second placed effort here at Southwell back in March was followed up by a victory on the turf less than a month later.
After a sequence of disappointing efforts the five year old now drops in class and has much less weight to carry. Add to this the eye catching booking of jockey Joe Fanning and it wouldn’t be ludicrous to see Zoravan go close.
The ever consistent, course and distance winner Best Tamayuz may also do well at a big price as will the hat-trick seeking Angel Palanas.
