RACE PREVIEW & TIPS (TUESDAY)

16:10 Goodwood A top quality class 2 handicap sees a total of ten horses looking to tackle this marathon two mile trip at the prestigious Goodwood. Course victors Jacob Cats and Platitude have a chance but it seems the handicapper may have gotten to grips with the top weight and cost him his chances already. The addition of blinkers are hopefully going to improve the chances of Austrian School who has put in a string of promising efforts but his unwillingness to get his head in front raises concerns. Imphal is a horse who’s ultra consistent and with a previous course and distance win demands obvious respect but in all honesty this level may well be above his ability. The horse that looks the one to be on is another course and distance victor in the form of Soldier In Action. Out of the yard of the most successful trainer in British racing history and with the champion jockey booked for the ride he has a multitude of positives. With a staggering 12lbs less weight to carry since his last victory there’s a lot pointing towards Soldier In Action delivering this afternoon. SOLDIER IN ACTION (WIN) – NAP
