18:45 Stratford

Although we’re well and truly in to the thick of the flat season we take a break to take in a race over obstacles at this evenings national hunt meeting from Stratford. Although it’s not too shocking (considering there’s only the one jumps meeting) it’s still interesting to see that top jockey Daryl Jacob heads to Stratford for just the one ride aboard No Hassle Hoff. Although he went off as an odds-on favourite last time out he still ran credibly to collect second place. He should improve on that run and although this looks a tougher race I’m hoping of the addition of blinkers for the first time should spark some sort of improvement which will see him finish in-front.

Top weight Fidux is the most obvious threat to our selection but I’m hoping that the extra weight that Alan King’s charge will have to carry will be enough to see him finish behind.
