RACE PREVIEW & TIPS (TUESDAY)

16:10 Huntingdon Top jockey at the festival last week was won by Nico de Boinville and although not the glitz and glam of the races he won recently he can certainly add to his tally here. He’s booked for just the one ride at Huntingdon and I’m sure this classy horseman wouldn’t be travelling all this way for just one mount if it didn’t have a lively chance. He climbs aboard My Turgeon who put in a much improved effort at this venue to finish third last time out. Trainer Ben Pauling bagged a festival winner last week and has his horses flying at the moment with a staggering 44% strike rate in the past two weeks. With a jockey and a trainer bang in form and with a horse who clearly acts well here at Huntingdon My Turgeon has a lot in his favour this afternoon. Former course winner Red Admirable is a consistent type who often puts his best foot forward but at the age of thirteen his winning days may be long gone. Top weight Save The Pennies grabbed a course and distance victory in its most recent race and beat our selection in the process. A six pound rise in weight isn’t too steep but expect things to be much closer between the two this time around. At potentially larger odds look out for market support for Ector who has the eye catching booking of jockey Daryl Jacob. If you see money come for the five year old it may be a positive sign for a bold run. MY TURGEON (WIN) – NAP

14:20 Taunton – Birds Of Prey (WIN) *NB*

14:40 Wetherby – Sam’s Gunner (WIN) *ALTERNATIVE*
