RACE PREVIEW & TIPS (TUESDAY)

15:30 Leicester Just Glamorous beat Mirza by two lengths in a listed race at Ascot but Mirza re-opposes with a 7lbs swing in the weights and is just 1lbs higher than when winning this race last year. He hasn’t been beaten far in higher grades than this in recent outings and has an excellent career winning strike rate over the minimum trip so should be able to account for Just Glamorous and other main rivals Soie D’Leau and Jumira Bridge. 17:45 Kempton Franny Norton is unbeaten in three when riding Foxy Forever but all victories have come in lower grades than today and the seven year old has looked held off his current mark in recent runs. Bottom weight Gorgeous Noora won an eventful race at Wolves by six lengths in 2016, on only her second start, but wasn’t seen again until last month when finishing a lacklustre tenth of twelve. A return to the all-weather should bring about improvement but the drop back in trip is a concern considering she did her best work in the final furlong when winning at Wolves. Alsvinder won well at Chelmsford last time out, winning the battle with stablemate Rock Of America and finishing over four lengths clear of the rest of the field so should be more than capable of defying his new mark and further enhance his all-weather record today.
