RACE PREVIEW & TIPS (THURSDAY)

17:05 Carlisle Just the seven are set to line up in this National Hunt Flat race and although unlikely to produce a superstar there’s a couple of interesting types. The big jockeys are likely to have their minds firmly set on the action at Cheltenham next week but it’s interesting to see that Daryl Jacob travels to Cumbria for just the one ride. He’s set to climb aboard the Ben Pauling trained Rintulla. The trainer sends just one horse all the way up from Gloucestershire and I’m sure both trainer and jockey won’t be travelling all that way if the horse didn’t have a lively chance. A disappointing run last time out is far from ideal but a tonne of encouragement can be taken from it’s 3rd placed finish on debut. A bold run is expected and is hard to overlook. The big threat comes from a yard that are bang in-form. Supervisor is trained by Venetia Williams who has her horses flying at present. Certain to give our selection something to think about and if Rintulla falters it wouldn’t be a shock to see Supervisor pick up the pieces. Of the un-raced horses All About You and Harry The Potter look to be the ones with the greatest potential but minor honours is probably the best they can hope for. RINTULLA (WIN) – NAP
