RACE PREVIEW & TIPS (THURSDAY)

17:00 Cork The penultimate race of the day over in Ireland is a competitive three mile handicap. Big name trainer Gordon Elliott has a representative in the form of Elwood and despite not finishing their last two races still stands a very good chance of claiming success but personally I can’t ignore those recent outings and I have to look elsewhere. The J P McManus owned Uaintseenothingyet looks to have a great chance now stepping up to three miles. Running well over two and a half miles the lightly raced eight year old looks to have been crying out for a longer trip and now he finally gets it don’t be surprised to see him well and truly in the shake up. All the above being said however I’ve opted for a horse who’s already been there and done it. A win at this venue and a win over today’s three miles puts ticks in the right boxes for Ronald Pump. A return to three miles will help after a decent run over shorter last time out and although the handicapper has given him quite a burden if he can overcome the extra weight is set to go close once again.
