RACE PREVIEW & TIPS (THURSDAY)

Calvados Spirit scored on his seasonal debut last term and ran with credit a few times thereafter, before signing off the campaign with a woeful effort at Kempton. Still relatively lightly raced for a five year old it is interesting that he has since undergone the wind operation and perhaps even more interesting that he has also left the William Muir yard, for that of Richard Fahey. Placed off higher marks than this in the past and proven on the ground, the presence of Paul Hanagan in the saddle is another positive and he is taken to score on his return once more. 

Zabeel Star is effectively 5lbs well in here and has been in good heart, he is feared most though Escobar also warrants respect for a yard beginning to fire.
