17:30 Newmarket It’s an old saying but as another classic saying goes “the old ones are the best” and the phrase “horses for courses” still rings true when trying to find a winner. In the final race here at flat racing HQ a.k.a. Newmarket we see the seven year old Shamshon return to a venue he’s been successful at before. With a win and a place from just two starts here at Newmarket he certainly goes well at this unique venue. As the only course and distance winner Shamshon certainly deserves his shot and can hopefully put a few recent poor performances behind him. Diamond Lady put in an encouraging performance on her seasonal return and aims to build on her recent second placed finish but this looks a tougher contest than the one she faced last time. Delegate This Lord is very consistent but seems unwilling to put his head in front as does Leo Minor. Of the rest the youngest member of the lineup, three year old Joegogo, could have room for improvement so needs a check in the betting. Never the less Shamshon seems to tick the right boxes and is definitely worth punting. SHAMSHON (WIN) – NAP
