RACE PREVIEW & TIPS (THURSDAY)

16:35 WOLVERHAMPTON

There’s a trio of former course and distance winners lining up in the sixth race at Wolverhampton and our selection lies within these three.

Hisar was successful here in his previous start and trainer Mick Appleby is doing well at the moment. A four pound rise in weight for that success doesn’t look too steep but a minor role looks more likely.

Bobby Vee put in a decent effort to finish fourth last time out and the four year old looks on an upward curve. Expect a good showing today if he can overcome a wide draw.

Pushkin Museum may be seven but is still showing a decent level of consistency. Returning to class 6 races here will undoubtedly help his chances as will a return to today’s distance. Shane Kelly is a positive jockey booking and off a decent handicap mark is set to go well.
