18:30 Windsor

The feature race on the card sees eight scheduled to go to post and a case could easily be made for the majority of the field. Dream Of Dreams brings solid form in to the race having placed in Group 2 and Group 3 races last season and arrives here in good form having won at Chelmsford on seasonal re-appearance last month. Noting that his best performances have come on soft ground, he will be a big danger if we see some rain during the day.

Four-year-olds Glorious Journey and Emblazoned look to have plenty of potential and will likely win races over the course of the season, but for the winner we turn to The Tin Man who won this race on his seasonal bow in both 2016 and 2018. A prior Group 1 winner with nine wins from twenty one over the trip, he is the class horse in the race and the one they all have to beat.

17:45 Carlisle

The final race of the day at Carlisle sees trainer Mick Easterby saddle five year old Desert Dream. It’s interesting to note that the owner of said course and distance winner is a relative of the trainer. The gelding returns to a venue he’s got a 100% record at and although he’s never won making his seasonal debut he has run respectably enough each time. With the additional weight taken off his back thanks to young jockey Josh Quinn’s allowance he now has a very attractive handicap mark. As the race looks far from jam-packed with talent it won’t take much to win.

Knowing Glance did well when finishing second last time out and looks to go one better now. The likeliest danger to our selection but the additional weight may be enough to put pay to his chances of finishing in-front.
