Charlie Appleby has an excellent record at Wolves and sends just one runner here today. Celestial Spheres is two from two since stepping up to twelve furlongs and will likely be a popular choice to gain his hat-trick, however for me he could be vulnerable now up in class off a 4lbs higher mark as he was almost caught by a couple of fast finishers in his last race.
Mount Tahan has two wins and two seconds from four runs at the course and has been finishing his races off very strongly so the step up in trip seems a sensible option, although the recent stable form has to be a concern.
The selection in this race is Soldier in Action who has winning form over today’s trip and won on only previous visit to Wolves. He was a winner over two miles when last seen in November and has twice won on return from a break so is taken to emerge victorious today with Adam Kirby taking over in the saddle.
