19:10 Pontefract
Becky The Thatcher has proved to be a different proposition since switching back to the flat and having cheekpieces fitted. She followed up a solid second at Pontefract with a runaway victory over today’s trip at Carlisle, beating a subsequent winner by five lengths with relative ease. Today sees a slight step up in class but in truth the competition doesn’t look any tougher and as such is taken to continue on her upward curve by claiming victory here.
Waiting For Richie battled well to record a success at York when last seen and in contrast to our selection he takes a slight step down in class. Likely to be in the mix at the business end he rates as the main danger, although the fact he’s gone up by 2lbs is a concern.
