RACE PREVIEW & TIPS (MONDAY)

19:00 Beverley

Musharrif won this race off a mark of 75 last year but hasn’t won since so returns to defend his crown from a 6lbs lower mark. A couple of decent placed efforts over the summer suggests he can get competitive again here, although finished behind the re-opposing Desert Ace and Bosham last time out and all three look closely matched again.

Bondi Beach Boy didn’t have much luck on the all-weather for Anthony Brittain over the winter but the switch to David Griffiths and a return to Beverley earlier this month saw a much-improved performance when second to an improving three-year-old Our Little Pony. He couldn’t build on that at Doncaster last week but is well-weighted on old form and boasts a record of five wins and two placed efforts from nine over course and distance so is given another chance to record victory at a course he excels at.
