Both American Patrol and Peace and Plenty arrive here on the back of respective victories last time out, although the latter steps up two classes of a 9lbs higher mark and the former has done all his winning on a synthetic surface so both look vulnerable for win purposes.

Top-weight Balmoral Castle is now 6lbs below his last winning mark but hasn’t won since April 2016 and has shown little since to suggest another victory is due, while Dreaming Of Paris put in an encouraging run to finish second earlier this month, his first run since January 2017 and also his first run on turf, but could find this coming too soon following such a long absence so preference is for Hats Off To Larry who has raced over course and distance on two occasions, producing a win and a third placed effort, and has talented young jockey Scott McCullagh who claims 7lbs in the saddle.
