Zoffany Bay was an impressive winner over today’s trip at Plumpton earlier this month, travelling well and jumping excellently throughout, before pulling clear with a couple of hurdles to go and staying on strongly to win by eight lengths. That was just his second run over hurdles, his first being a promising second over a couple of furlongs further, so there looks to be plenty more to come for Ali Stronge’s four-year-old and he is taken emerge victorious again here today.
Admiral’s Sunset got her head in front at the fifth time of asking when successful over course and distance last time out, although will need to improve again if she is to challenge here, so the bigger danger looks to be Cougar Kid who has made the frame in all five prior runs at the course. He is probably better over slightly further but was a very good third over course and distance last time out any maybe would have won with a clear run between the final flight and the winning pole so can’t be discounted off the same mark.
