Airshow has won his last two, one on turf and one on the all-weather, and has an overall career record of six efforts from nine in the places so it would be no surprise to see another big run today. That said his victory on turf came in soft ground and he carries an extra 9lbs for today’s race which could make him vulnerable.
Preference is for Rock Of Estonia who hasn’t been seen since winning here at Bath last May. The break is a slight concern but he won on debut last season, is so far unbeaten in two and finished both races off really strongly so should be capable of staying this slight extra distance.

It isn’t often that I would consider a novice race for one of our Picks From The Paddock previews but I am happy to make an exception here as the Hugo Palmer trained Employer ran a great race when third on debut, in a race that has produced four subsequent winners, and should be suited by the extra furlong he encounters here. In-form jockey James Doyle is an eye-catching booking for the ride and he should be capable of putting his experience to good use by beating the twice-raced duo of Zamandas and Kasser and also finish ahead of newcomer Dyagilev for the in-form Clive Cox.
