15:25 Redcar Mitchum has been in relatively poor form this season despite being somewhat consistent. That was up until his last run at Catterick. His last win was way back in May 2016 but that was from a handicap mark a whopping 18lbs higher. Now with much less weight (plus an allowance for his amateur rider), back on soft ground and over his preferred trip and he’s bound to be in the mix. At a bigger price if Tanawar returns to anything like his best he’ll go close at a bigger price. MITCHUM (E/W)
16:00 Redcar The final race on the card at Redcar looks like a competitive affair but in my mind looks more like a match race that only Danish Duke or Mr Michael are likely to win. The Irish raider Mr Michael won’t be travelling all the way over from Ireland just for a holiday and after a much more encouraging effort at Navan last time out looks primed to go close. That being said however I’m siding with the Ruth Carr trained Danish Duke. He’s dropped back down to a Class 6 handicap for the first time since July 2016. His record in this lower grade races and over today’s trip reads as; 2 wins and 2 places from 5 runs. Clearly, now he resides off a much lower mark and with promising amateur jockey Seamus Cronin in the saddle, he has everything in his favour to bring about a big run. Of the rest Uncle Charlie can make up the placings. DANISH DUKE (WIN) – NAP
