Pam Sly has sent five runners over fences in the last three years at Fakenham and has been rewarded with four winners and a placed effort for her troubles. Her only runner on today’s card is Popelys Gull who has made a decent start to chasing with a win and a second to show from three runs to date. This will be his first attempt at the trip since going over the larger obstacles but has two prior placed efforts at the course and three placed efforts over similar trips when racing over hurdles so should have the stamina to take the step back up in trip in his stride.
Holly Bush Henry gets the benefit of in-form jockey James Bowen in the saddle and with no concerns over stamina or conditions he looks to be the biggest danger.
