Murdanova returns to a track where he has posted two of his three career victories and showed signs of improvement on first run for Ivan Furtado at Chelmsford last time out, being forced wide on the bend but running on well to finish fourth, just a length behind the winner. All three that finished ahead of him has run well in higher grades since (finishing 1st, 2nd and 4th respectively) yet our selection has been dropped 1lb by the handicapper so, in a race filled with more quantity than quality, this looks to be a good chance to record another victory at the course.
Steal The Scene hasn’t won since August 2015 but that came in a Class 4 off a mark of 80 so, with signs of a return to form in recent runs (two placed efforts in his last two runs) he rates as the main danger.
A final mention goes to Arlecchino’s Leap who is on a fairly lengthy losing streak but as a consequence has dropped down weights and has a decent record at the course, posting a couple of wins and a placed effort from five over today’s trip.
