RACE PREVIEW & TIPS (MONDAY)

15:00 Pontefract

Tim Easterby has won this race twice in the last five years so his runners Dance King and Ghayyar both need to be respected. The former has won three from six over course and distance and has also won in higher grades than today so looks the most likely to get involved, however his last few runs have been a shade disappointing so a placed effort may be the best he can hope for.

Preference is for Deja who put in a hugely promising run when winning in soft ground at Chester last time out, on first run for the stable, racing wide over the first couple of furlongs to grab the lead, racing a little freely once getting to the front but then showing a good attitude to battle it out and keep his nose in front all the way up to the line. He has a good draw here and is entitled to improve for the experience so can continue his winning run at the expense of more exposed rivals.
