17:15 Dundalk
A tight looking handicap kicks off the Friday nightlights meeting at Dundalk and it may pay to stick with the course specialists to deliver. Togoville came back to form when winning here over 6f two starts back in authoritative fashion, but failed to back that up last time albeit stepped up to a mile. He looks a big threat still now back at the minimum trip and is well treated on old form, but hasn’t won over 5f since 2015 and it seems 6f is his optimum these days. It may pay instead to side with Garvan Donnelly’s Plough Boy, who is back on a winning mark again after some poor runs this campaign, but his best run two starts back suggested signs of a revival at the minimum trip when third in a similar grade. He disappointed over 6f last time, so will enjoy the step back to 5f where his last three wins have come at, and he looks poised to strike on a mark of 78 having won off that mark as well as 2lb higher last term.
