20:30 Newcastle Canford Bay served notice of a return to form when finishing a good second here on his return from a break, sent to Wolverhampton earlier in the week, he can be forgiven for disappointing as he missed the break and encountered trouble in running. Gowanbuster was worn down extremely late in the day two starts back when gifted a very easy lead here, essentially he looks to be holding no secrets from the handicapper although he could take advantage should they give him enough rope. Jan Van Hoof is worthy of serious respect, a strong travelling type, he will likely travel like the winner at some point though he doesn’t always find as much as appears likely. Loulin looks almost certain to shed his maiden tag this term and has gone well fresh before however, the quick reappearance of Canford Bay looks a positive and he is taken to score.
