15:50 Listowel
My first selection of the day is a horse who’s been very disappointing this year and at the age of ten it’s definitely a gamble as to wether or not they can roll back the clock however course winner PRESENTING MAHLER gets my vote as a very risky outsider at around 33/1. However he comes with a warning. He’s also entered into a race here tomorrow. The yard are starting to hit their stride and I have a feeling that tomorrow may be the day he strikes if he’s either withdrawn or disappoints this afternoon so don’t let today’s effort put you off backing him again on Saturday. I just feel with the yard going well and him now on a very low mark he’s worth keeping a close eye on.

17:35 Haydock
The one I must admit I fancy most comes in the last at Haydock where course and distance winner MIKMAK holds a decent chance. Trainer Tim Easterby has been doing very well of late and it’s very interesting to see Silvestre De Sousa now take the ride. He was well fancied last time and failed to deliver but at around 11/1 he looks to have a very solid each way chance. The more inexperienced pair of Raaed and Taawfan are the ones I fear most but if their more experienced rival can produce something like his best then he looks very overpriced at the moment.
