Rathlin Rose won this last season for the same combination and arrives here today in similar circumstances, David Pipe has his horses in fairly good heart at present so without over complicating things, he is selected to go back to back off a similar mark. Orbassa is a rather surprising entrant in this given he is only seven, from the yard of Paul Nicholls he is very hard to take on but at the odds it is hard to see the value. Leo Luna warrants a mention despite having had a hard enough race last time, clearly in good heart you couldn’t entirely dismiss his chance but this demands more. Midnight Monty and Renard are others with interesting claims and both come from yards that have been amongst the winners.
