15:10 Ascot Ekhtiyaar may have gone up six pounds in weight since his impressive win at Newmarket but that won’t be enough to stop this very impressive three year old. The Roger Varian trained runner looks a group horse in the making so considering he still tackles handicap company he should have more than enough to win a race like this. Roger Varian’s other runner Victory Angel looks to have a chance as does the Ryan Moore ridden Merlin but both should only be playing minor roles to our selection. EKHTIYAAR (WIN) – NAP

19:45 Chelmsford Silvestre De Sousa has an eye on the jockeys championship still and he could add to his tally in this marathon two mile event. His ride Fortia is lightly raced and has plenty of room for improvement after an encouraging run last time out. A generous price is currently available and for each way punters he looks set to finish in the money. The Sir Mark Prescott trained Alternate Route deserves his spot as favourite and looks the most obvious danger. FORTIA (E/W)
