Very First Time arrives here in search of the hat-trick and looks to have good prospects of landing it judging on his recent exploits, an uncomplicated sort who has made all the last twice it is unlikely he will face much competition for the lead today though he is now 11lbs higher. Ballydine was the best of these over hurdles and he shaped with plenty of encouragement when just failing to land the spoils on his chasing debut at Haydock last month, granted normal improvement he must have fair claims back up in trip. Scotchtown will need to jump better than he has shown so far over fences though as a dual winner over hurdles you get the feeling he has improvement in him, that improvement is definitely required however. The rest are fairly difficult to fancy so on the strength of his ability over hurdles and with improvement almost certain to come Ballydine is taken to outclass these if avoiding the dreaded bounce.
