RACE PREVIEW & TIPS (FRIDAY)

17:45 DundalkIt may be February but just like the recent summer time weather we’ve been having it seems that we’re presented with the Moore, O’Brien and Ballydoyle trio out in full force sooner than expected. Although not the best card we’re likely to see in 2019 there’s some very well bred types from the big guns out in force and U S S Michigan looks like a horse who’s got plenty to like about him in the second race at Dundalk tonight. He’s only stepped foot on a racecourse once before but the form of that maiden contest looks very promising. The winner went on to finish a decent second in Group 3 company and horses who finished behind have claimed victories since. This doesn’t look the most competitive maiden with only a case to be made for a small few. Of those few we have the likes of Royal Court who’s trainer Joseph O’Brien will be aiming to get one over on father Aiden and as an alternative Lewandowski is also likely to be in the frame but U S S Michigan ticks all the right boxes and wouldn’t have to be a superstar to win tonight.U S S MICHIGAN (WIN) – NAP
