The third to last race of the day up in Scotland sees nine runners likely to enter the stalls one of which is our bet of the day.

There’s two course and distance winners in the field and we’ve opted to side with one of them. One course and distance winner is likely favourite Royal Cosmic. Unbeaten it two starts here at Musselburgh the Richard Fahey trained four year old deserves the upmost respect but may need a run to get his fitness up to scratch.

The other runner to have claimed victory at this venue is Falcon’s Fire who, despite having a mediocre all-weather term this winter, may improve markedly for a return to turf. Now residing at a very light handicap weight he certainly has it within him to pick up a race of this ilk.

Of the remaining combatants Elite Icon and Trautmann can fight it out for the remaining placings.
