14:00 Lingfield
Arabescato has won over course and distance and has been in pretty good form this season, with three wins out of ten runs. He’s never been out of the first three at Lingfield, which adds to why he is supported in the market. However, he has a very large weight of ten stone and he hasn’t exactly been firing on all cylinders for his new stable. He seems an opposable favourite.
Amalfi Bay represents intriguing connections and is also in good form of late. He’s the highest rated in the race, which is then bolstered by a decent weight. Add champion jockey, Oisin Murphy, to the mix and it seems he has a pretty good chance. However, there are some caveats. There is still the question as to whether he’ll stay the two miles and he doesn’t have the greatest draw.
Yagan was just beaten over course and distance, last time out, denying him the four timer. He’s evidently in good form and Luke Morris is the leading most jockey at Lingfield. He does have the question of two miles but those fears could be dispelled by his low weight, compared to his rivals. Moreover, he has the best draw of them all, which counts for a lot at Lingfield. He seems to have everything in his favour to continue Sir Mark Prescott’s good run of form.
