PADDOCKS PATENT (TUESDAY)

13:40 Southwell

We start our day’s previews with a division two sprint over six furlongs. Best Tamayuz completely destroyed the field on his latest outing around here winning unchallenged  by five lengths; he’s only been raised two pounds for this but this looks to be more competitive than his last race and he may find a few of these too hot to handle.

The biggest dangers look to be from Pull The Pin and Meebo; the latter seems to love it around here and has placed over course and distance six times this year but on every occasion she has found at least one too good she should be there or thereabouts in the final stages but preference goes to Pull The Pin. He has been frustrating recently on the turf but he seems to love it on the fibresand winning three times over course and distance and I can’t see any reason why he shouldn’t be able to make it four.

Pull The Pin (E/W)

14:50 Doncaster

Our second preview looks to be a gripping handicap chase. Shadows Lengthen won with a lot in hand 18 days ago where he jumped very well throughout the race; he’s been raised eight pounds for this but with such a convincing win last time out it’s hard to see any of these that can stick with him.

Uriah Heep dug in to win last time out on his chase debut and steps up to this trip for the first time; he looks a promising sort and Alan King wouldn’t have thrown him into this if he didn’t think he was in with a chance but stamina maybe an issue as two miles seems to be his preferred trip. Robbie finished a respectable second over this distance at Musselburgh 11 days ago and maybe one to keep an eye on in the market if money comes for him.

Shadows Lengthen (WIN)

15:20 Doncaster

We stay at Doncaster for our final preview a handicap hurdle over two miles and three furlongs. Paloma’s Prince was a beaten favourite last time out when finishing second 118 days ago, he isn’t the most prolific jumper and is only having his fourth race to date over hurdles after quite a successful time on the flat and with Daniel Hiskett’s claim he should return back to winning ways.

The biggest danger to my selection looks to be from Monksgold , he has shown a lot of potential since joining Alan Kings yard and seems to be on a fair weight making his handicap debut, he was finishing off strongly when finishing third last time out and there may be more to come from him in the future.
