13:10 Huntingdon For Tuesday’s race previews we take in one race from each of the days’ three jumps fixtures, with the first coming in the opening race at Huntingdon. Lisheen Prince hasn’t been seen since a NH flat race last November at Cheltenham, won by subsequent Champion Bumper winner Ballyandy. He could only manage eighth that day but five of the seven who finished ahead of him have since gone on to win at least once so the form has worked out well and he has to be considered on hurdling debut. River Frost looks an interesting runner on debut for Alan King, who’s horses have made the frame in twenty of twenty-eight runs here over the last twelve months. He won on the flat in France prior to joining his current yard and the booking of Barry Geraghty catches the eye as he has a 50% winning strike rate when riding for Alan King in the last year. In a race of this nature previous hurdling experience can make all the difference so preference is for Apasionado who won a bumper on debut for new trainer Stuart Edmunds and then followed up with an impressive victory on debut over hurdles, taking the lead before the final hurdle and quickening away nicely to win by fourteen lengths. Over the same trip and with similar ground conditions he could put his experience to good use and emerge victorious here. Apasionado (WIN)

13:35 Sedgefield We move swiftly over to Sedgefield for Class 4 novices handicap chase over two miles and three furlongs. Early favourite Paddy’s Field won over a similar trip over hurdles in January but has been well beaten in three attempts since and and now tries his hand over the larger obstacles. Trainer Ben Pauling is operating at a 30% winning strike rate over fences in the last twelve months so his chasers need to be taken seriously. Sue Smith’s Wolf Sword has made the frame in four from six over the trip and has winning form at the course, albeit in an NH flat race. He could only manage a mid-division finish on return from a six month break, finishing behind the re-opposing Ascot De Bruyere, but is entitled to come on for that and should be capable of reversing the form at the very least. Bishops Court has placed on all three attempts over similar distances to today and the switch to fences could be the making of him. His trainer Neil Mulholland has had three winners from eight over fences in the last two weeks and his seventeen runners here at Sedgefield have produced eight winners for a strike rate of 47%, a record that is difficult to ignore. 16:05 Lingfield Our final preview comes from Lingfield where we take in a Class 4 handicap chase over two miles and four furlongs. The selection is early second-favourite Oliver’s Hill who hails from a yard whose horses have a 75% place strike rate at the course over the last twelve months. The seven year old won over todays’ trip on penultimate run and was travelling very well before making a mistake and falling last time out. Providing this hasn’t affected his confidence too much he should be capable of getting back to winning ways. Mr Medic won on chase debut, on return from a seven month break, over a shorter distance than he encounters here. He jumped well and showed good battling qualities to repel his main rivals but is opposed today as he has been raised 8lbs and previous attempts over trips similar to today have left a little to be desired. Flashman was three lengths behind Mr Medic last time out but is 7lbs better off today and may be capable of reversing that form if handling the longer trip. He rates a danger for a stable with two chase winners from three runners over the last two weeks. Oliver’s Hill (WIN)
