We start our day’s previews on the Fibresand with a twelve furlong handicap.
Tacticus had been knocking on the door on the all-weather until he finally got his head in front over course and distance last week; he completely destroyed the field by nine lengths on that occasion and even though he carries a penalty for this today he is going to be the one to beat but his price is so short already it may be worth looking elsewhere for some profit.
Serenity Now is another who won over course and distance last time out but that was in a lower grade than this and he is still the wrong side of the handicap even with his penalty but he is not one to dismiss if taking to the step up in grade.
Sellingallthetime and Gabrial The Duke are dangerous at this level; something seemed a miss with the former last time out as he didn’t seem to get going in the final stages. The latter wasn’t badly disgraced when stepping up in grade last time out and more should come from him at this level today. It’s really hard to try and split these two but Sellingallthetime is more consistent and gets a tentative vote.

We come to the southwest for our second preview of the day a nineteen furlong handicap chase.
Jay Are looks the early favourite after a very convincing eleven length win at Plumpton last time out and should go well again today under a penalty.
Head Spin looked out of sort’s last time out which was a huge surprise as his jumping was faultless at Wincanton when finishing third before that so his last race can be dismissed and he should be able to reproduce his previous form again today.
All But Grey is another who didn’t reproduce previous form last time out when he fell at the sixth but did stay on well to finish second the race before and can go well again today if his jumping is back to the level we know.
It’s hard to give a fair comment to the rest of the field with the exception of Judge Davis; he showed some potential late last year after a two year layoff but was pulled up on his latest outing when tailed off but may of just needed that race and looks one with place claims.

Our final preview of the day we head north for a twenty two furlong handicap chase.
Lord Brendy was held at the back of the field for most of the race last time out and was probably given too much to do when trying to catch the leader but he was staying on well and if given a good ride near the front today he could finally get his head back in front today.
Teddy’s Reflection was in fine form back in 2011 but didn’t show that potential at all when at Ian Williams’s yard; he is now at his third yard but the huge layoff maybe an issue but it would be no surprise if he was in the mix again today and may be worth a small E/W punt.
Allanand is thirteen pounds higher than his last win over course and distance last year but did win over a slightly shorter trip two starts ago; he looks one for the places too but it’s hard to look past Lord Brendy
