PADDOCKS PATENT (TUESDAY)

14:40 Huntingdon

We start our day’s previews with a sixteen furlong novice chase.

All but one of these come here for their seasonal debut so it’s no surprise to see Notnowsam as the market leader as he finished a credible second at this level on his seasonal debut four weeks ago; he’ll benifit greatly for that run and is probably the one to beat.

Rock N Rhythm steps up in class again after being successful twice in lesser company but he has the presence of Richard Johnson once again who led him home to a nine length victory last time out and even though he’s nine pounds higher for this today he still looks fairly treated.

All three of Ravrn’s Tower’s wins have come over this distance even though  he’s not win for nearly two years he’s showed some promise over hurdles on his latest two outings and could be very dangerous from his current mark.

The French import Monyjean looks very interesting on his UK debut as he’s notched up some good results in France winning once and placing twice from four races and if hes anything near his brothers performances he could make a winning start for his new yard.

14:50 Sedgefield

We quickly head to Sedgefield for our second preview a nineteen furlong handicap chase.

It’s hard to talk about John Mcmanus horses without bringing up Tony McCoy but he did complete a hat-trick on Ever So Much in September last year but then seemed to go off the boil until recently where he’s ran three very strong races including one over course and distance last time out but if this ground ges anymore give in it he’s one that may struggle.

Saints And Sinners is six pounds higher then he was this time last year where he managed to complete a good hat-trick and even though he went on to compete in better company after that this drop back in grade should be a good confidence booster for his return back to action.

Cloudy Joker hasn’t been disgraced trying fences as he’s another who had completed a hat-trick chasing late last year so his return could be one to note.

It’s starting to become a French theme today as my selection for this is another having a UK debut Tomkevi; he placed four times from seven races chasing in France from which two were wins and this looks a good standard for him to be tried at today.

15:10 Huntingdon

We head back to Huntingdon for our final preview a twenty furlong handicap hurdle.

Tiradia and Midnight Gem probably have the best recent form coming here today, the latter though was still nine lengths behind the winner on that occasion and the former didn’t fair much better when competing over a shorter trip around here last time out but he did finish second around this distance here the race before so the former could go close once again.

In The Crowd has won both of soft ground and fast ground so is very versatile but he seems to need a string of races before he gets going so will probably need this today.

Snowball is still without a win from fifteen starts but he’s been getting closer recently especially on soft ground and as it looks like he’ll get that here today it may be worth giving him a chance to finally come good.
