16:00 Pontefract We start our day’s previews with a ten furlong handicap, this looks a wide open affair with many of the horses coming back from a long break. Astronereus looks the early favourite after a good 2014 season but looks better suited over further than this even though he has won over this trip. Silvery moon went hurdling at the end of last year and wasn’t disgraced in the slightest, he should relish coming back to sprinting especially as he is only a pound higher when finishing second at Newbury in October. Stepping Ahead, Sennockian Star and Easy Terms all competed in this race last year with Stepping Ahead coming out best by finishing second with the other two along way behind; he should be able to maintain that form again today but may find one too good again. Hesketh Bank has struggled off this mark since winning on his handicap debut but it would be no surprise to see him in the mix if repeating his past form. Silvery Moon (E/W)

16:10 Lingfield We quickly hop over to Lingfield for our second preview, a Division One six furlong handicap. All these horses barn two are previous course and distance winners which should make this an interesting race. Thataboy and Glastonberry are the two early favourites in the market after both finishing second on their latest outings, the latter looks the better treated of the two and has to go on the short list for this. Soaring Affair has won twice over course and distance in the past but was beaten by Multitask by nearly 3 lengths last time out; he comes here on better terms today and should be in the places but there is another I fancy a little more. Castorienta had a very respectable turf season last year and did very well over this surface this time last year; she has also been given a little help from the handicapper and should go well today back on this surface. Castorienta (E/W)

16:40 Lingfield We stay at Lingfield for our final preview a Division Two six furlong handicap. This looks another wide open affair with the current market prices concurring. Willie Musson’s Don’t Have It Then seems to like it around here notching up two placed efforts and a win since the end of January 2014; he looks the early favourite but looks a little high in the weightslightest to me. Vincentti has plummeted down the weights and is currently back on a winning mark but he seems to do better over the minimum trip but shouldn’t be dismissed. Salvatore Fury was only beaten by a short head over course and distance back in December and can run off that same mark again today and gets my vote for this. Meritocracy is another to note having also plummeted down the weights. Salvatore Fury (E/W)
