PADDOCKS PATENT (TUESDAY)

15:15 Beverley

We start our day’s previews with a Class four handicap over nine furlongs.

Tin Pan Alley comes here seeking a hat-trick after two good wins over course and distance this month but he’s been raised thirteen pounds overall for both them wins and the step up in class may just be beyond him to gain that hat-trick today.

Miss Lucy Jane seems to come good at this time of year; she completed a double over course and distance back in July last year and hasn’t been disgraced when competing in better company than this since; she’s now down to a very fair mark and looks the one to beat.

King Of The Celts is another previous course and distance winner and stayed on well to win around here last time out but he’s been raised five pounds for that victory and should be in the firing line again.

Satanic Heat is one that may be worth a second look after finishing third at Pontefract last month; he’s won off higher marks in the past and the distance is not a concern.

Miss Lucy Jane  (E/W if 9/2+)

16:15 Beverley

We stay at Beverley for our second preview a Class five handicap over twelve furlongs.

Voice From Above looks an early favourite after a good win last month where she was eased down close home but she’ll have a seven pound penalty to negotiate with today and may just  miss out on another win.

Aneedh won over course and distance off a one pound higher mark back in September and should benefit dropping back to this distance after a strong third at Doncaster last time out; he tends to need a horse to make the running to pull him through and he may just get that today from Triple Eight who tends to get out fast and try and make all.

Duke of Yorkshire steps up in trip after finishing second behind Tin Pan Alley who races in our first preview; he can race of that same mark but he’s not been very consistent over this distance  in the past and that’s an issue.

Gang Warfare and Rock On Bollinski have been very disappointing after showing some promise last year and can’t be ignored if finally finding their feet.

Aneedh (WIN)

20:00 Newton Abbot

We end our day’s previews with what looks a tight two mile and four furlong handicap chase.

Handsome Horace was sent off favourite  last time out but seemed to find the distance beyond him and he tired quite quickly in the last two furlongs; he should relish the drop in trip and after speaking to one of the owners he believes this trip will suit and can finally get his first win.

Ladfromhighworth is a very lightly raced ten year old and has been running well as of late but he keeps being raised in the weights without winning  and the extra two pounds today will surely hinder him once again.

Isthereadifference was very disappointing last time out after a very comfortable win at Taunton  back in May but there could of been something amiss that day and has to be a danger if getting his head sorted for this today.

Handsome Horace (E/W if 5/1+)
