17:30 Lingfield With York taking centre stage this week there is slim pickings elsewhere as regards quality but should be three good betting prospects here. The first one comes the Turf of Lingfield. A competitive looking event with some well seasoned handicappers and as always the draw is all important over sprint trips. Recent winner Maymo is well drawn in twelve and the claimer on board negates the his rise in the weights. However he is relatively exposed over this trip and the 3lb rise could just stop him for now. Costa Filey is back down to a winnable mark and Harry Bently is back on board after recent course and distance win, but she has been handed the worst of the draw. The most interesting runners are the two handicap débutantes, Harrison Sicktle and Wotnot. The latter will need to step up on form after two Windsor runs and a Leicester run with them runs not really working out and has not been handed the best of draws. Wotnot is perfectly drawn in eleven. Henry Candy is a shrewd trainer who is having a good season with this type of horse. Wotnot showed nothing but greenness on his first two starts but showed an improved effort when attempting to make all last time out and just getting caught close home. Now handicapping she looks an excellent proposition. This Exceed and Excel filly looks sure to run a big race down the golden mile. Wotnot (WIN)
18:20 Killarney Over to Ireland for the last two races, first up with a fillies handicap over one mile three. The selection is Sidra from Dermot Welds yard. This three year old filly is lightly raced and has been improving with each run. The headgear in the form of a first time visor is reached for today which should bring about the necessary improvement. She finished second behind On A Pedestal last time out over course. That horse has since gone on to run in a group three and listed race, running with credit. This leaves Sidra and a very lenient looking mark and she must go close. Dangers are the two Willie McCreery runners who is having an excellent season with his fillies. Rivers of Babylon is arguably more interesting on handicap debut after winning some nice early season races. Whether she has more in the tank than 94 is up for debate. Maudlin Magdalen has been running well but was found out at this level in the Topaz Mile at Galway and should come up short again. Sidra (WIN)
19:50 Killarney We finish with a 0-102 handicap chase over two mile four. Competitive field line up for the grade and Knockraha Prince must be of interest back up in trip after finishing a never nearer fourth last time out. Jonathan Burke has had an excellent summer and retains the ride. That last run was under a penalty and will need to improve off the career high mark. Down Time won at Newton Abbot last time and looks fairly treated after that run based on Irish rating. However he is inconsistent and only ever won twice. Tipped Up Harry and Curragh Golan both switch from hurdles to chases and must be respected if there was some market support. The selection is Ballylibert who come from a yard having a real quiet time. However there are signs of life from Robert Tyner and for that reason his horses are looking well handicapped. He made a low key return from a long lay off. Back over fences he can build on that and run well at a big price. Ballylibert (E/W)
