PADDOCKS PATENT (THURSDAY)

13::35 Ludlow Tara View has been off the track since winning a Bangor bumper back in May but should find enough iimprovement in order to make a successful winning debut over timber this afternoon. She was a clear seven length winner in her previous outing suggesting that she would be a useful type to follow in the upcoming season. Wayne Hutchinson rode her to victory on that last occasion so it is of little surprise to see him back on board today and with the Alan King yard in decent form, she ought to make her presence felt. Happy Diva has not been seen since finishing third to Avispa at Southwell back in May. Jamie Moore has partnered her in all but one race to date and they have made the frame in their last two runs. if Kerry Lee has her fully wound up after almost six months off the track , she is likely to prove the most potential threat. Classy Massini has hinted a modicum of ability in her racing career so far. She is likely to improve again and looks set to fight it put for a place this afternoon. Tara View (WIN)

14:05 Ludlow Shows Over lost out by the narrowest of margins in a tight little race at Plumpton last month when just out pointed by Spock at Halloween. He gets in here off the exact same mark and in receipt of weight all around, that ought to see him go close to returning to winning form. He steps back down in trip this afternoon and that could well prove to be shrewd move by his trainer. Tom O’brien doesn’t ride all that often for Tim Vaughan so the jockey booking could prove significant for a yard that can do little wrong at present. Chakisto is a stablemate of the selection and has James Best in the saddle for the first time. The pair have to concede two pounds to the selection but they are proven over this trip. The eight year old ssees to have benefitted from a two hundred day break and a switching of stables and it would be foolish to dismiss him outright. Despite being a nine year old Osgood looks set to carry topweight in this handicap and because of his regular consistency he has to be respected. His young apprentice looks set to claim ten pounds and they can go well at a decent price. Shows Over (WIN)

15:05 Ludlow Big Casino bounced back to winning ways a fortnight ago when last seen out at Stratford. Nigel Twiston-Davies teams up with Ryan Hatch who takes off a useful three pounds. This ten year old is a model of consistency and although not proven over as far as this, he is still lightly enough raced to think that he could make an impact over this extended three miles. Good or soft ground seem key to his chances and the pairing command every respect at this level. Adam De Breteau has improved this year since blinkers were refitted. Jonjo has him in great form having won two of his last four and the booking of Aiden Coleman certainly catches the eye. He is still only a six year old and this step up in trip may yield yet further improvement from him. The combination look the most likely threat to the selection. Kim Bailey is in tremendous form and he aan Tom Bellamy team up with By The Boardwalk. Despite a five pounds rise in the ratings for him he remains capable of better and has solid each way claims. Big Casino (E/W)
