Our first race of the day is an exciting looking Beginners Chase over two miles. Three Kingdoms is two from two over todays’ trip, is a course and distance winner and finished ahead of Garde La Victoire and Gilgamboa (both recent winners) in the Supreme Novices Hurdle in March. This will be his first attempt over fences but he will have been well schooled and won when returning from a summer break last year so could prove hard to beat today.
The main danger is early favourite Thomas Crapper, who has already had two runs over fences and ran well in both, finishing second behind Vibrato Valtat and third behind Court Minstrel. He has a strike rate of 59% finishing in the top three so definitely has some ability but may have to settle for a place again today.
Such A Legend is another who is making his debut over fences and could prove dangerous if he continues last seasons winning form into this new season.

Our second race of the day is a class five maiden fillies stakes over seven furlongs. Both Song Of Norway and Two Smart have reasonable experience with eight and eleven runs respectively but neither have managed a win and are overlooked here.
Wu Zetian has raced three times over todays’ trip and has placed twice, finishing third to Nigels Destiny in her last race who has gone on to win again since. She could progress further today but for me a negative is the jockey booking of Hayley Turner who has been badly out of form since returning from injury and has only won three from thirty five in the last month.
Preference is for Nightlight who has placed in all three career starts so far, getting closer to winning with each race. She finished ahead of the aforementioned Song Of Norway (who finished 4th) last time out when finishing a close second to the fast finishing Gharaaneej and should be able to confirm that form again here.
Nightlight (WIN)

Ambitious Boy finished ahead of two previous winners when opening his account in impressive fashion on the tapeta surface here last month. Although risen 6lbs for that win, he looked like he had more in hand and, with the fourth in that last race going on to win next time out the form holds up well.
Both Order Of Service and Cool Bahamian are previous distance winners and both arrive on the back of recent wins, but neither have managed to follow up on previous successes and this doesn’t look like changing today.
The most likely danger to Ambitious Boy is Two Moons, who has won two from three over todays’ trip. He is passed over today as he faded in the final furlong (finishing fifth) when last seen at Southwell and runs off the same mark today.
Ambitious Boy (WIN)
