15:20 Lingfield
Semaral is the sole course and distance winner in the field and has a 25% win rate over eight furlongs, only failing to finish in the first three on one occasion when racing on an all-weather surface. However, a 3lbs rise for her latest win meant she could only manage third last time out and she could be vulnerable racing off the same mark today.
Boogangoo has a 44% strike rate for finishing in the top three and has the beating of Bint Dandy based on their last meeting in December, having both gone up 3lbs. She has yet to score in fourteen attempts over todays’ trip but has won over both seven and nine furlongs and was only a half length away in third and a neck away in second on her last two runs over eight furlongs.
Kind Invitation and Maiden Approach are both New Approach fillies who have previously won over todays’ trip and could figure for minor places.

Our second selection comes in this class four handicap where early favourite Always Tipsy arrives looking to build on last months’ course win. With all five career runs over jumps resulting in top three finishes, he has shown a good level of consistency and has been improving with each race run. He steps up in trip for this race and is up 6lbs but should be able to take this in his stride considering the distance the first two put between themselves and the rest of the field when last seen.
Solway Sam is another who has been in consistent form with one win and five seconds in his last nine runs. He has only managed two wins from twenty over twenty five furlongs but both came on good ground so has to rate as a danger.
Of the remainder, Dun To Perfection is worthy of a second despite disappointing last time out. His three career wins all came in class five races on soft or heavy ground but has also finished a close second on a couple of occasions on good ground so cannot be discounted.
Always Tipsy (WIN)
15:40 Wolverhampton
Urban Castle stepped up in trip and ran out an easy six length winner when last seen on the tapeta surface. She has now won two from four here at Wolves, finishing second (beaten a neck by Oratorios Joy) and fourth in the other two. A 9lb rise looks fair considering the manner of victory last time out and with a further step up in trip also likely to benefit she looks the one to be on today.
John Reel looks to be the main danger to the selection. A winner on turf, over jumps and here at Wolves, he has finished in the first three places in nine out of ten races and arrives looking to complete a hat-trick but has another 5lbs to carry today.
Very Good Day is another who could get involved. A winner over course and distance last month, he has been raised 3lbs for that win but has won from a higher mark in the past.
Urban Castle (WIN)
