Candelisa Is one of the two most experienced horses in this field and he can confirm recent form with Galesburg. The pair met a few weeks ago at Hamilton and Jedd O’Keefe’s youngster meets the Johnston rival on three pounds better terms. Graham Lee partnered the son of Deeam Ahead when making his racecourse debut at Haydock Last month and he is likely to know much more about what he has beneath him this afternoon. Candelisa was doing all of his best work in the closing stages at Hamilton last time and with further experience under his belt, he should take some stopping here.
Mark Johnston is having a fantastic season and proved that with the first two home in the Old Newton Cup at Haydock on Saturday. Galesburg will have to have come on again in order to reverse recent form with Candelisa, but that is not impossible to rule out. Joe Fanning is once again in the saddle and if allowed an uncontested lead, they could well prove hard to peg back. Donjuan Triumphant came so close to scoring at Redcar on what was his first appearance on a racetrack. Richard Fahey has his team in excellent shape and this brother from another mother could well be there to pick up the pieces if showing the improvement as expected.
Candelisa showed in his last race that he should not be a maiden for much longer. Now that he is fully battle hardened he can take this before going onto better things in the future.

Always Bold looks set to make his seasonal reappearance this afternoon for Martin Keighley and Andrew Tinkler. The ten year old has been known to go well fresh in the past so an absence of one hundred and ten days is not too much of a concern. He is still attractively handicapped on the best of his old form and he with wins on surfaces ranging from good to firm to soft, he certainly is a versatile sort. He stays a bit further than todays trip so stamina should not be an issue and if fully wound up he should be capable of producing a very big run for supporters.
The Wee Midget should have plenty in his favour this afternoon. A more than consistent sort, he certainly seems to be running his way into form. Like the selection he has won over further and his seven pound claimer won on him last time out at Bangor. If in the same mood the combination command respect and look the likeliest of threats. Patricktom Boru has been kept busy of late. He is in the form of his life at present though and a victory over the course and distance just five day ago laments that fact. He has had several tough races in a short period of time and is now off a career high mark and he will need to step forward yet again.
Always Bold comes into this race as the joint top rated runner and the yard have been amongst the winners of late. He gets on well with any new jockey that takes over in the saddle and he can hopefully give Andrew Tinkler a decent spin.

Pathway To Honour showed a lot of natural ability in what was his debut season last year. The son of New Approach was a three time runner up on the all weather before finally shedding his maiden status in a more than convincing manner at Lingfield Park. This is his first run on turf and in a handicap, but with Charlie Appleby and Godolphin making hay at this track in recent weeks, he has to be high on any shortlist.
Divine Law wears his heart on his sleeve and absolutely loves this track at Windsor. He is likely to once again try and make all, but the handicapper may well have had his say. If the selections fails to live up expectations, the Hannon horse will be there doing what he does best. Lady Marl may find it difficult to concede five pounds to a higher rated rival despite winning two of her last three starts. She may also prove vulnerable to a younger and more progressive individual.
Charlie Appleby should know all about Divine Law having seen his No Delusion beaten twice by the Hannon runner in as many weeks. He is likely to have specifically geared Pathway To Honour towards this race and it will be of no surprise to see the boys in blue reap the reward here given the woeful form of the likes of Unison and Purple Rock.
